iPhone checkup

Run these while parked. Tap one test at a time, then follow the help below it. Use the Android guide

The checkup does not upload your GPS coordinates or record your microphone. Spoken-word testing uses your browser’s speech service, which may process audio online. Only start tests you want to use.

Start in the right place

Opened in a browser tab. Use Safari for these instructions. For push alerts, add Wayborne to your Home Screen and open that icon.

How to install / open Wayborne

In Safari, open Share (possibly inside the page menu), choose Add to Home Screen and confirm. Open the new Wayborne icon.

If this link opened inside Facebook, Messenger or another app, use its menu to open it in your browser. Menu names vary by phone version.

Connection & storage

How to fix or enable this

Turn on Wi-Fi or mobile data, reopen the secure Wayborne link and retry. Use a regular browser window. This test does not clear your data or change privacy settings.

GPS location

Needed for your current position and navigation. This does not turn on sharing with other riders.

How to fix or enable this
  1. Open iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services. Turn Location Services on.
  2. In that list, find Safari Websites (or the browser/app you use). Allow location while using it, and enable Precise Location if offered.
  3. In Safari, open Wayborne. Tap the page menu beside the address bar, then Website Settings (sometimes under More). Set Location to Ask or Allow. On some versions, website permissions are under Settings → Apps → Safari.
  4. Return to the same Wayborne window or Home Screen app, retry, and allow its prompt. The installed app may ask separately.

Microphone access

How to fix or enable this
  1. Open Wayborne in Safari and use its page menu → Website Settings → Microphone. Choose Ask or Allow. Some versions place these controls under Settings → Apps → Safari.
  2. Also check Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone for the browser/app, if listed.
  3. Close other calls or recordings. Return here and retry. If headset recognition fails, disconnect it and test the phone’s microphone.

A working microphone does not guarantee that the browser’s speech service is available. Keep an internet connection and use the typed planner if recognition is unsupported.

How to fix or enable this

Connect your helmet or headset, select it as the phone’s audio output, and raise media volume while the sample plays. Try the phone speaker if silent. This page cannot read your volume, Bluetooth routing or whether you heard the sample.

How to fix or enable this

Open the Home Screen version of Wayborne, then enable notifications below. If blocked, check Settings → Notifications → Wayborne. Check Focus / Do Not Disturb if alerts are silent.

Use Send me a test below. Service acceptance is not proof it appeared on your phone. Confirm only after seeing the test.

Before a real ride

Keep Wayborne visible and the screen awake. The browser cannot reliably inspect battery restrictions, Focus, precise-location switches or background operation. These checks confirm individual features now, not a complete road test.

If location accuracy remains poor outside, send the results instead of assuming a setting is wrong.

Official help & test limits

Settings labels vary by browser and OS version. A permission-denied result does not reveal which setting caused it. Results stay on this page until you choose to copy them.
